How to Store IGET Vapes So the Flavour Lasts
Most flavour complaints are storage problems. Four rules that keep a device tasting the way it should.
Heat is the main enemy
The fastest way to ruin an IGET is to leave it somewhere hot. A car in an Australian summer reaches temperatures that degrade e-liquid within hours — flavours flatten, sweetness turns slightly chemical, and the liquid thins enough to seep past seals.
Room temperature, indoors, away from windows. That is genuinely most of it.
Store them upright
Devices left on their side for long periods are more likely to seep into the airway, which shows up as liquid in the mouthpiece or a gurgling draw. Upright keeps the wick evenly fed and the airway clear. A drawer or a cup works fine.
Keep them out of direct sunlight
UV degrades e-liquid independently of temperature, so a device on a sunny windowsill deteriorates even on a cool day. It also fades packaging, which makes verifying a security code harder later.
Do not refrigerate them
This comes up regularly and it is a bad idea. Cold thickens e-liquid so the wick struggles to draw it, and moving a cold device into warm air causes condensation inside the housing — around the battery and contacts, which is exactly where you do not want moisture.
Storing spare pods
Sealed pods keep well in their packaging at room temperature. Leave them sealed until you need them; once a pod is opened and seated, the coil begins to saturate and it is best used rather than set aside for months.
Storing a part-used device
If you rotate between devices, store the ones you are not using upright with the mouthpiece covered if it came with a cap. On rechargeable devices leave the battery around half charged rather than flat, which is easier on lithium cells over time.
Out of reach, always
Vaping products must be stored out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine is toxic if swallowed, and a device that looks like a highlighter to an adult looks like a toy to a small child. A high shelf or a locked drawer is not an overreaction.
